Flip Trap - Flips enemies long distance depending on their size. Mobs can collide with other mobs, terrain, and structures which may shorten their distance. Flipped enemies are Launched until landing, and then considered prone taking double damage until standing up. Enemies can land on downward facing slopes or stairs increasing duration of prone and distance traveled. In the game files there is an unused special upgrade to increase the knockback force.

Level Upgrades - Cost
Unique Upgrades - Cost
Reduce Cost [-50 coin, 550] - 4 Requires triggering 40 times to unlock
Reduce Cost More [-50 cost, 500]- 5 Reduce Cooldown [-3 seconds, 10] - 5
Reduce Cost Even More [-100 cost, 400] - 6 Flips Very Heavy Enemies - 5
  • I'll be doing some research on the flip distance and values associated with the flip trap but the below flip values are relatively accurate. - MMD

"So the flip trap does not inherently do 10 damage. No physics traps do through the launch system. Each minion has a 'Launched Impact Damage Threshold' ... when a unity impacts with something (Say the floor) we calculate the momentum that they hit the floor with and if it is over that threshold they will take 10 damage + another amount of damage calculated by an algorithm based on their momentum.

As for how far units are thrown, each thing that has the ability to launch a minion (say a flip trap) has a launch force that is static. the direction is calculated differently based on the thing launching the minion but is also deterministic. Minions are then launch in that direction, at a specific velocity based on both the force AND their weight. This is why you are seeing the two ogres go different distances. Weight of units is a set value so 2 Light Ogres will always be launched the same distance, but an Armored ogre may be different if it has a different weight value set." - Robot Entertainment
